Week 2

Ruff week last week. We look to bounce back here.

Game: Mizzou @ Kansas 

We start Week 2 off early with a Friday Night Lights matchup. We are heading back to the Border War, just a different border this time. This one is between the Kansas Rock Chalk Jayhawks and the Mizzou Tigers. Yup, you guessed it, BDN is riding with the home Dawgs at +162.

The market has shown some love for Kansas as well, with (at the time of this write up) Kansas taking 6% of ML bets and 42% of handle. That's good to see. 

Not to mention, we ride a QB who can cause some problems. Isaiah Marshall opened the year completing 14-of-19 for 246 yards, 2 TDs and no picks while adding 49 yards with his legs. This is a much bigger test, but seasoned Dawgs know we like a mobile QB who can extend drives, create something when the play breaks down, and give the Jayhawks a real chance to win.

Pick: Kansas +162 - 1.3u - Loss

Game: Wake Forest @ Purdue

We ride with the home dawg in Purdue here. The Boilermakers are taking only 17% of ML bets and a whopping 73% of handle at DK. Their +3 line is taking a wild 98% of spread handle, but we ride ML. Ryan Browne gives us a capable QB, more stable than the prior riskier dual-threats we have backed this season. It also is nice that the line has moved toward Purdue all week. Purdue should have a real shot of winning this one at home and thew + sign cannot be ignored.

Pick: Purdue +126 (FD), 2u - Loss*

*Just the absolute worst officiating. The graphic on TV, announcers, all said Purdue won and then they go to review to overturn the play which lead to Purdue losing. If you were wondering, there was in fact, not irrefutable evidence to overturn, but they did. That is not me saying that, that is the announcers, and "Referee Anlyst" Mike Pereira. 

Game: UNLV @ UNT

We ride with another home dawg here in North Texas. The Mean Green showed some life in the trenches against defending champ Indiana, running for 152 yards while Tayven Jackson completed 22-of-28. Now they get a much softer UNLV defense at home. UNT's corner situation is a concern, with 3 corners out; but the hope is the Mean Green rush can create sacks and 3rd downs, which UNLV has shown they suck at converting. Give us the home dawg and the + sign.
